Where can I find a great coffee in Leeds?

Like all great accountants our team at Whitesides love their coffee, from our bookkeeper Leo’s double strength rocket fuel to Sean, one of our accountants, decaf blend there is a coffee for everyone.

Our team has had many discussions in the office about their favourite places in and around Horsforth to satisfy their caffeine fix, but here are our top 5 coffee shops, click on the name for a link to their page.

Yorkshire Crust, Cookridge

The best place to grab a coffee in Leeds, by Whitesides Accountants in Leeds

A fantastic coffee within walking distance of Horsforth train station (and the office!). A cosy, modern coffee shop that also do a delicious cooked breakfast with Lishman’s sausages and homemade marmalade.

Golden Acre Park Café, between Adel and Bramhope 

Open 7 days a week, the location of this cafe earns its place in our favourite 5. The cafe is in the centre of the park and enjoys beautiful views of the immaculately maintained gardens. If you fancy walking off one of their amazing cakes, it is a very pleasant walk from Cookridge through Breary Marsh to Golden Acre Park – a walk Sarah’s dog Barney loves, especially as the cafe is dog friendly and has a range of dog snacks available too!

Woodlawn, Horsforth 

Recently opened on Town Street, Horsforth, I had a hot chocolate (or two) here earlier this week. The staff were extremely friendly and if you want to mix business with coffee they hold a couple of regular networking events here too.

Grumpys, Farsley

A place to grab a quick coffee by day and an amazing pizza restaurant by night. Just a really pleasant place to hang out, meet friends and truly relax. The pizzas, according to Gita, are ‘amazing!’.

Caffe Romagna, Leeds City Centre 

And finally, Caffe Romagna, this coffee shop has been on Albion Street for over 35 years, and with good reason! An authentic Italian coffee, in a genuine Italian family coffee shop. If you have never been, you are definitely missing out and next time you are in Leeds you need to pick up an espresso here!
